Toronto Maple Leafs lose another core four member to injury
The Maple Leafs competed hard last night and managed to beat the St. Louis Blues 4-1 without Morgan Rielly, who served the first game of his five-games suspension, Conor Timmins, John Tavares and Mitch Marner.
Right before the start of the game, the Leafs announced that Marner and Tavares would miss the game because of an illness. With Timmins' mono, fans were scared that the two Leafs stars had gotten it too.

In his post-game press conference, Sheldon Keefe confirmed that Marner and Tavares are not believed to be dealing with the same illness, but something with "flu-like" symptoms, which is good news. He also shared that other players who took part in the game last night weren't top shape.
In a new update, it was confirmed that Tavares, Marner and Nylander weren't at today's practice.

This isn't the first time that a virus like this one runs in the Leafs' locker room. Earlier this season, the majority of the team missed a game or so for the same reason. Let's hope that with the warm weather around the corner, things will change for the Leafs in their last push ahead of the playoffs.
