Bruins Forward Fires Shots At Team Canada Following Embarrassing WJC Quarterfinals Loss

Just now, Team Czechia defeated Team Canada in the quarterfinals of the World Junior Championship and Bruins forward Jakub Lauko rubbed salt in Canada's wounds.

Today, Team Canada was knocked out of the World Junior Championship by Czechia in the quarter-finals and will be going home without any hardware. The game was tight for the full 60 minutes but Czechia eventually pulled away not losing at any point during the game.

The Czechs began hot in the first period scoring the first two goals putting Canada on their heels early.

Canada then decided to take control of the game in the second and answered back swiftly on the backs of goals from Matthew Wood (2023 Nashville 15th overall pick) and Jake Furlong (2022 San Jose 5th rounder).

Canada gets right back in it to cut the Czechia lead in half.

The two teams would then go on to be scoreless up until the final seconds of the third period where Jakub �tancl and Czechia pulled ahead off of a bad bounce.

Jakub �tancl gets his second of the game after a crazy bounce into the Canada net.

This marked the first time Czechia defeated Canada in a medal-round game and was quite a historic victory.

Lauko Fires Shots At Minten And Canada

Following the Czech victory, Boston Bruins forward Jakub Lauko, a native of Czechia, released a social media statement that fired shots at the entire Canadian roster, including Fraser Minten.

Lauko has spent the entire season in the NHL this year going scoreless but tacking on three assists through 26 games. He is looking to be an effective NHLer for years to come and is known on the side for his social media antics.
