Cade Webber spotted with the Maple Leafs in Tampa Bay
Cade Webber might not have inked his deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs just yet, but it seems like it's all about the salary cap. He's already hanging out with the team down in Tampa Bay, so it's pretty much a waiting game until they can officially seal the deal. Once the playoffs roll around and the salary cap restrictions ease up a bit, we'll likely hear the news of his signing.
Even though he's waiting on that contract, Webber's already got his sights set on hitting the ice with the Leafs.
After Boston University's tough loss in the Frozen Four semifinals, he's gearing up to bring his skills to Toronto. Standing at a towering 6-foot-7, he's known for shutting down plays and racking up blocked shots in the NCAA. The Leafs saw his potential and snagged him from Carolina at the trade deadline, so there's definitely some excitement brewing for his debut in the blue and white.
