Controversial Review Robs Matt Murray Of The Save Of The Year
Lately, Matt Murray has been putting up impressive performances.
He stopped 48 of 52 shots in a win against the Ottawa Senators and 33 out of 35 against the Panthers.
In the win against Florida, he was denied what could have been the save of the year due to a controversial review in their game against the Florida Panthers.
Controversial Review Robs Matt Murray Of The Save Of The Year
Against the Panthers, Matt Murray made a pair of remarkable saves, including one where he reached backwards with his glove to snag a Matthew Tkachuk shot out of the air.
Unfortunately, the review showed that the puck had crossed the goal line, leading to a controversial goal for Tkachuk that tied the game at 1.
With Ilya Samsonov away due to personal reasons, Murray will see action at least one more time this week as the Leafs conclude their road trip.
The hope for the Leafs and their fans is that Murray can maintain his rhythm and continue to put up impressive performances.
