Jake Muzzin takes on player development role with the Toronto Maple Leafs
Jake Muzzin looks to be taking on a player development role with the Toronto Maple Leafs as he was spotted on the ice with some of the younger players.
Muzzin was spotted on Thursday in a Maple Leafs track suit and a whistle around his neck, working with some of the Leafs' young defensemen at their development camp.

«I've been a Leafs fan my whole life & watched him. I definitely looked up to him, so to get to know him & learn from him, it's really special» After putting up 81 points in 187 games with the Leafs, his time was sadly cut short when he suffered two concussions in a 30 day period during the 2021-22 season. He then played in only 4 games the following season as the injuries continued to pile up. That would prove to be his final season as an NHL player, as he retired at the end of the 2022-23 season.

The Leafs are confident that Muzzin's experience and new role will serve the future generation of players well, which will hopefully lead them to deeper playoff runs.
