Keefe Brutally Calls Out Leafs Top Players After Crushing Loss to Oilers
You wouldn't have known this was a team that's acquired five NHLers over the past two weeks.
In a crushing loss the the Edmonton Oilers, the Maple Leafs barely even looked like a NHL team, let alone a top cup contender.
Sheldon Keefe didn't hold back in calling out his players after the defeat.
Keefe Calls Out Top Guys
Everybody can agree it was a bad game for the Leafs. They gave up way too many chances, there was absolutely no intensity after the first period decimation, and they couldn't rebound.
However, Sheldon Keefe's comments made it pretty clear who's fault he thought the loss was on.
Chemistry isn't instantaneous, but the new guys looked fine last night. The Maple Leafs are a great team, but these types of losses are detrimental in the playoffs.
If this is how they play against Edmonton, there's a reason to be worried when they play Tampa.
Hopefully there's a big rebound against Calgary Flames tonight.
