It appears Kyle Dubas and the Pittsburgh Penguins may be poaching yet another top scout from his former team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Amateur Scout Chris Roque, a longtime scout for the Leafs, appears to be potentially headed to Pittsburgh, with Roque now listed as an amateur scout for the Penguins, no longer listed as a scout on the Leafs website.

The apparent departure was first noted by Kyle Cushman of 'The Score'.

Neither team at this time has confirmed the move.

Roque, an Ontario-based scout, spent over a decade as a scout in the Ontario Hockey League before following fellow Soo Greyhounds executive alum Kyle Dubas, Wes Clark & Sheldon Keefe to Toronto with the Maple Leafs.

Dubas, now the General Manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins, brought in Clark after the 2024 NHL Draft as the team's Vice President of Player Personnel.

Roque, along with fellow former Greyhounds scout Victor Carneiro, led the Leafs insight into the Ontario region, which led to the team drafting Nick Robertson, Easton Cowan & Ben Danford in recent years.
