Leafs Head Coach Explains Why They Called up Goaltender Joseph Woll
The Leafs have made an odd lineup change tonight in preparation for their match against the Senators.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have called up goaltender Jospeh Woll from the Marlies. Fans assumed that he was called up because Matt Murray is injured.
What happened to Matt Murray?
Sheldon Keefe, the head coach for the Leafs, explained that Murray is fine.
Sheldon Keefe explained that Ilya Samsonov is dealing with a minor injury, and that Samsonov will remain in Toronto to get treatment before the Leafs leave for their remaining 4 games of their road trip.
It appears the Ilya Samsonov will be joining the team when they leave for Long Island, however, Woll will remain with the team for the remainder of their road trip as a precaution.
