It's a big game for the Maple Leafs as they try to continue their winning ways against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers. A lot of questions about the Maple Leafs' health, and whether or not they can continue to win despite being without Auston Matthews.
The goaltending has been a real bright spot for the team, and for the first time, it feels like there is some consistency between the pipes. Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz have been great together and have kept the Maple Leafs in many games this year.
So with Toronto heading into Saturday's game, who gets the call?
The Leafs will call upon Anthony Stolarz, their prized free-agent signing who has come into the team and proven he's not only the league's best backup but one of their best starters too.
This season he's put together a 6-3-2 record with a 2.11 GAA and .930 SV% and shown the type of consistent big-time goaltending the Maple Leafs have needed for years.
It's a chance for Toronto to build upon their 4-3 OT win in Washington on Wednesday, and it continues to show how well the team can do without their captain in the lineup.
Anthony Stolarz will have a tough task though with McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Connor Brown, and Zach Hyman; two former Maple Leafs themselves.
Edmonton will counter with Stuart Skinner who will try and improve on his 5-5-1 record against a very hungry and tenacious Maple Leafs squad desperate to take advantage of some bad goaltending in order to get some better production out of their bottom-six.
The Toronto Maple Leafs take on Edmonton tonight, Nov. 16 from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The puck drop is scheduled for 7 PM ET.
