Maple Leafs on the verge of signing top prospect Nikita Grebyonkin
The Toronto Maple Leafs have some solid pieces for the future, and now it appears as though another top prospect in Nikita Grebyonkin is on the way too.
After another impressive season with Metallurg in the NHL, Toronto Maple Leafs 2022 fifth-round draft pick Nikita Grebyonkin reportedly will not extend in Russia, and now appears as though he will be headed to North America to ink a deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Of course, nothing official yet.
The 21-year old has been incredibly impressive in his first full season at the highest level in the KHL, netting 19 goals and 41 points in 67 games played, showing that he's capable of matching up with people of any age or skill level despite being so young.
Standing at 6-foot-2, weighing 192 pounds, the young Russian has the ability to play on either wing and has been lauded for the ability he has when the stick is on his puck, and given the other talented prospects in Toronto, the future just keeps getting brighter.
