Matthew Knies played only two games in the NHL and he already scored his first point.

As any rookie would do, he made a few mistakes, but nothing major.

Scoring your first point in the NHL is an important milestone that stays in fans' memories for a long time.

But he did something else that people will probably remember.

Knies Disses Tampa Bay and Their Arena

During a press conference, he insulted the Lightning and dissed their rink, the Amalie Arena.

It's important to know that it was in that same arena, a week ago, that he lost the NCAA championship game in OT that ended his collegiate career.

Here's what he said:

Matthew Knies on returning to the building where his Minnesota Golden Gophers lost in OT of the national championship game on Saturday:

"I don't like this rink, to be honest with you. It kind of stinks."

That's not a small statement from the rookie. The Lightning will probably hear about this and make him pay if he ends up playing a playoff game.

We don't know yet if he'll be included by Keefe in the post-season lineup, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him for at least one game.
