Yesterday morning the Toronto Maple Leafs were seen at the airport ready for a long journey to Stockholm, Sweden.
Several Maple Leafs players including Swedes William Nylander and Timothy Liljegren can be seen exiting the plane on arrival.
Once they made it to Stockholm they were able to gather and get their first taste of playing in Sweden with a practice at Avicii Arena.
After practice, one player in particular was the most popular guy in town.
Once the Maple Leafs left the facility the team decided to indulge in some Swedish culture while honoring a Maple Leaf legend.
After practice the Maple Leafs decided as a team to attend a movie premiere. The movie was BÖRJE a film honoring and following the life of Maple Leafs legend Börje Salming.
The team was decked out in suits as they honored one of the many Maple Leafs to come before them.
Another Maple Leafs Swedish legend was also in attendance in the form of Mats Sundin.
The Maple Leafs will continue to explore Sweden and enjoy their time together as they prepare for their game on Friday.
The matchup between the Maple Leafs and Red Wings will be a great showcase of Swedish hockey.
