A lot could change in the final ten games of the season, and the number one position could still be up for grabs as we get to the first game of the playoffs.
The Maple Leafs head coach will have a tough choice to make: who'll be the starting goalie for the playoffs between Joseph Woll, Ilya Samsonov or Martin Jones.
Woll, who returned from a long-term injury a month ago, has struggled to find consistency, but performed very well against the Washington Capitals ealier this week.
Samsonov managed to find his confidence back after a short trip to the AHL, with the Marlies. A recent injury scare put doubts on his condition ahead of the playoffs, however, he will play tonight, against the Buffalo Sabres.
As for Jones, even if he's been solid for the Leafs this season, should be the backup in case there's an injury, or if Woll or Samsonov don't perform.
All three of them should get the chance to prove themselves before the season ends.
In the 10 games remaining to the regular schedule, the Maple Leafs are set to face opponents from their own division seven times. These games will be very important in the playoff race, which is extremely tight at the moment.
The Leafs are only four points ahead of the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have been on fire lately. If they don't win most of these games, they could fall to the first Wild Card spot in the East.
It'll be crucial for the goalies to perform well until the end if the Leafs want to win the Stanley Cup.
