Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe had a few things to say in response to Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery regarding how their playoff series has gone. Keefe refuted Montgomery's comments about Jeremy Swayman being in their heads.

Montgomery's initial comments stemmed from an incident that happened last night in game three of the series between the two teams. During a media timeout, Leafs center Max Domi collided with Bruins netminder Jeremy Swayman.

After the game, Montgomery talked briefly about Swayman, what he brings to the team, and his competitive nature. He also said that his netminder had gotten into the heads of the Leafs players as they have grown frustrated with their inability to score on him. He believes this was made evident by Domi's interaction with him last night.

🎥 Coach Montgomery, meeting with the media on the #NHLBruins off day in Toronto, discusses Jeremy Swayman: "Ultra competitive. If anyone's as close to Marchy on our team as far as competitive fire, it's him."

When asked about these comments, Sheldon Keefe seemed rather annoyed. He responded by saying that the Bruins players must be frustrated, made evident by all the times they have bumped Leafs players.

After Jim Montgomery suggests Max Domi's bump on Jeremy Swayman is a sign Swayman is in the #leafs head, Sheldon Keefe says: "With that logic you would say every time they bump into one of our guys maybe we're in their heads. I don't think that has anything to do with anything."

Fans were not buying Keefe's response as the two situations are clearly not the same. To be fair to the fans, Keefe's response did come off as a bit immature.

Bumping the goalie in between whistles is clearly different than a normal hit lol

Keefe is such a loser. Perfect coach for the leafs

Keefe's job may very well be on the line this series, so it is understandable why he might be a little bit irritable. That being said, it is time for Keefe and his players to stop talking and get the results they need on the ice.
