Sheldon Keefe's shocking lineup decision amid five-game losing streak
Today the Toronto Maple Leafs gave a preview of what their lines could look like for tonight's game against the Calgary Flames. With a five-game losing streak on the line, many are shocked by the decisions Sheldon Keefe has made.
During their morning skate today the Toronto Maple Leafs did line rushes which gave a preview of tonight's lineup. Sheldon Keefe decided to make a wild decision despite losing four games in a row nothing is expected to change.
This lack of change with the lack of success is deeply frustrating to Maple Leafs fans. They took to social media to share that frustration after these lines were put out from morning skate.
The most frustrating part to most people when looking at the roster is TJ Brodie still being on the top pair with Morgan Rielly.
Why can't this guy just put Brods down to the third pair and let Timmy and Rielly go? It's not like Tim is completely incapable of. If Keefe wants to keep going on about holding people accountable Brodie should be the FIRST guy to lose his spot
Others want to see more of young forward Nick Robertson who is yet again going to be scratched.
Robertson has to be in over Gregor
The Maple Leafs have struggled to keep the puck out of their net during this losing streak. Not making a change to that group after yet another bad performance is puzzling. Keefe has to hope the team responds well to the continuity of keeping things together.
If they fail to win again the noise directed at Keefe will only continue to get louder and louder.
