With the new faces in town, he has shuffled the deck with his lines.
The top six remains the same. No changes have been made and Ryan O'Reilly continues to centre John Tavares and William Nylander. The changes come with the bottom six.
With Pierre Engvall on the move, Sam Lafferty will pair up with other deadline acquisition Noel Acciari. Zach Ashton-Reese should see a role back in the lineup.
The defence is completely changed. Jake McCabe was seen at practice as well. He joins the lineup and is paired with TJ Brodie.
Morgan Rielly sees himself with Justin Holl. But the lines will now shift into a blender further as the team welcomes in Luke Schenn and Erik Gustafsson.
A better projected lineup could be revealed as the team takes the ice against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.
The only question is, is this a cup-calibre lineup? It's getting hard to think it isn't.
