Tensions rise as Jarnkrok and Domi take subtle shots at the Bruins
The Maple Leafs and Bruins are ready to meet in what should be a fantastic first round matchup, and now the teams are taking shots at each other.
The Boston Bruins have two of the best goaltenders in the NHL in Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark, and on Friday, they attempted some mind games by publicly revealing that they wouldn't be naming a game one starter.
It appears as though they were looking to get in the head of the Maple Leafs, but when asked about it on Friday, both Calle Jarnkrok and Max Domi took shots back at the Bruins.
I couldn't care less - Calle Jarnkrok
Did we reveal ours? There you go. Welcome to the Playoffs - Max Domi
There's already a built in historical rivalry as well as a personal one between these two teams, and once things start getting physical on the ice, this will become arguably the best series of the first round.
Clearly, this is a Maple Leafs team full of confidence that they can beat whichever goaltender takes the ice for the Bruins, and if they can get good work in net from either Ilya Samsonov, Joseph Woll or Martin Jones, they have a fantastic chance of taking down the tough Bruins.
