The Toronto Maple Leafs got two things done last night; ended their losing streak and handed Winnipeg their first loss, and the team is having some fun with the win.

After Toronto's complete turnaround on Monday where they not only handed Winnipeg their first loss, but also had a frigid John Tavares heat up with a hat-trick on a newly rejuvenated second line with William Nylander and Max Pacioretty. It was a huge win for a Toronto team that had lost three straight, and going into a long road trip it wasn't going to be easy heading into Winnipeg first.

The Maple Leafs may have had some extra motivation, with the Winnipeg Jets' Mark Scheifele leading a victory cry that threw shade at the Maple Leafs:

Well, since then it seems Scheifele's victory speech has fallen on deaf ears, as Toronto has their number. With last night's victory, the Maple Leafs are 6-0 against Winnipeg outscoring their opponent 26-11; it's been more humiliation for the Jets than domination.

Toronto wasn't done mocking their opponent though, as after the game when Toronto handed out their Player of the Game Belt; it was John Tavares who was the recipient after his three-goal effort and the caption was a not-so-subtle dig at Scheifele's speech:

It's a reminder to Winnipeg that while there may be nothing better than beating the Toronto Maple Leafs; there is nothing like the feeling of beating the same team six times in a row in convincing fashion. Perhaps it would be in Scheifele's best interest to keep his thoughts to himself, especially in a world of social media where Winnipeg's speech added fuel to the fire.

If this wasn't recorded, Toronto would probably have no idea, but the video is out there and could be replayed thousands of times by the Leafs as motivation. Emotions play a huge factor in the game, whether obvious or not, and giving opponents any motivational ammunition can bite you in the end, as it has done to Winnipeg.

If the Winnipeg Jets want to mock opponents, they need to be ready to face the consequences, and perhaps they'll think twice before doing so, at least so publicly, or they'll feel the wrath of other teams much like they did with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
