Today the specific struggle that William Nylander has been dealing with over the last several days was revealed. He has been diagnosed with severe migraines with concussion-like symptoms.

These symptoms in isolation sound to not be that bad however one prior case shows that they could be career-threatening.

With the word migraines comes a scare for many fans especially due to the recent unfortunate case of Nolan Patrick. Nolan Patrick was picked second overall by the Philadelphia Flyers. Sadly he struggled with concussions and eventually migraines leading to the end of his playing career. Now fans are drawing comparisons between the two situations.

So it seems that William Nylander's absence is from severe migraines according to EF

I think I've seen this film before and I didn't like the ending

According to multiple sources,
William Nylander's absence from the Toronto lineup has to do with a migraine so severe that team doctors tested to see if he suffered a concussion. One of the reasons for the secrecy around his situation is that an actual diagnosis has been hard to come by, whether it is a migraine, a concussion or something else that could affect that area.

While not all situations are the same especially when it comes to concussions or migraines a recent correlation is enough to cause a scare.

Hopefully William Nylander will receive a positive update in the near future and get back to being the superstar we all saw to begin the season.
