Bo Horvat shares his thoughts on Vancouver Canucks' new coach Rick Tocchet
While it is very unlikely that Bo Horvat is a Vancouver Canuck come the March 3rd trade deadline, he still proudly wears the C'.
Being the captain of an NHL team is no small feat, and Horvat is a model player. Apart from his on-ice play, he is a phenomenal leader.
With Vancouver hiring Rick Tocchet in hopes of keeping Bo Horvat in blue and green, there is a sliver of hope, and based on Horvat's recent comments, there is true reason for optimism.
When Tocchet shared his first meeting with Horvat, the message was clear: as long as Horvat is a Canuck, he is a true Canuck.
First thing out of his mouth to me was 'Wherever I go or regardless of what happens, I'm locked in. I'm your guy. I'm your captain'. As soon as he said that I knew he was a character guy and appreciate he's locked in for me.
Horvat likely won't get the luxury of donning the C anywhere else could that convince him to stay in Vancouver?
