The Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser is officially done for the season after an update revealed he is dealing with a scary blood clot issue.

As the Canucks prepare to face the Edmonton Oilers for the seventh game of the series, a new development regarding one of the Canucks' star players, Brock Boeser, could add another layer to Vancouver's challenge.

Indeed, Boeser won't be able to take part in tonight's game, and possibly the rest of the playoffs, as he deals with a blood clot issue.

Here are additional details, coming from insider Frank Seravalli:

"Sounds like #Canucks Brock Boeser's blood clot developed in his leg, something team medical staff found after Game 6.

He has been placed on blood thinning medication and is not expected to be available to play again this season.

Brutal break for the #Canucks' leading goal scorer."

The Canucks are already dealing with their star goaltender Thatcher Demko's injury, and now, will need to play without their best scorer of the playoffs. In 12 games, he scored seven goals and 12 assists, playing a key role in the team's successes so far.

As for the Oilers, they will surely try to capitalize on that and join the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Finals.

Do you think the Vancouver Canucks can win game 7 against the Edmonton Oilers without their top scorer, Brock Boeser?
