Frank Seravalli drops major news regarding Mitch Marner trade
Mitch Marner disappointed for the Maple Leafs in the playoffs, and according to a top insider, it's highly likely to lead to a trade this off-season.
After years of fantastic success in the regular season, the Maple Leafs may finally be fed up with Mitch Marner and his lack of production when it comes to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Following a first-round exit once again in 2024, Maple Leafs fans have called for Mitch Marner to be traded, and according to Frank Seravalli, that's the likely outcome this summer.
Per @frank_seravalli there is a 95%+ chance that Mitch Marner will be traded this off-season. The two-time Selke nominee was selected fourth overall by the Maple Leafs in 2015. Many teams will likely inquire in the star winger. #GoHabsGo #LeafsForever
Seravalli has predicted a less than 5% chance that Marner will return as a Maple Leaf in 2024-25, and unsurprisingly, Elliotte Friedman believes all 29 teams will have some level of interest in him this off-season.
Marner may have a NMC and a desire to remain in Toronto, but if the team are looking to move on from him, there's little reason for him to stay.
Despite the negativity that comes with a poor playoff performance, Marner is still a fantastic regular season performer, and with free agency looming next season, it's safe to say that moving on may ultimately be the best move for both parties.
