The free agent Elias Lindholm officially left Vancouver, a few months after joining the Canucks at the trade deadline.

When the Canucks sent Andrei Kuzmenko, Hunter Brzustewicz, Joni Jurmo and two draft picks to the Calgary Flames in return for Elias Lindholm, the team management already knew what would happen at the end of the season.

Lindholm, on the last season of his $4,850,000 AAV contract, could have already played his last game with the Canucks.

According to a new picture posted by Lindholm's wife on Instagram, Lindholm and his family are getting ready to leave Vancouver.

She posted the following picture with the caption "Last day in Vancouver":

Later, in the comments, someone asked them if they could stay, and Lindholm's wife replied:

"Elias becomes a 'free agent' this summer so it is a little different now with a new contract."

Lindholm, 29, had a great first half of the season in Calgary, tallying 32 points in 49 games. Unfortunately, he had a tough time with the Canucks after being traded, scoring only 12 points in 26 games.

However, in the playoffs, he played a valuable role for Vancouver, scoring five goals and five assists in 10 games.
