Clearly the aren't in the headspace to let it happen again, as they've been one of the best teams in the West.
Known as one of the most creative teams when it comes to the salary cap, Vegas will be looking to go all-in before the playoffs start.
While he is a fantastic offense producer, Mark Stone is very injury-prone. The Golden Knights captain, and his $9.5-million cap-hit were officially placed on LTIR last night. He hasn't played since January 12th.
This mean that Vegas will have approximately $8.8-million in their LTIR salary pool; more than enough to make a big trade.
Knowing Vegas' attitude towards trades, it's easy to imagine they'll be going after one of the remaining big names.
Whether this is Patrick Kane, Timo Meier, or a goalie, expect Vegas to add a big piece in the next ten days before the deadline.
It will be very exciting to see what the Golden Knights do next.
