But that being said, there's some trade speculation making waves around Joonas Korpisalo that is eyebrow-raising.
Vegas gets a good tandem goalie in Korpi for the stretch run since Thompson is out with injury and a young winger with a quick release shot with an average 2-way game in Bemstrom and a 6th in 2024.
Columbus gets a hard working defensive forward that can play all forward positions in Howden and a rather inexperienced offensive defenseman in Miromanov with a 3rd round pick in 2023.
The proposal between the Vegas Golden Knights and Columbus Blue Jackets is interesting, as it moves Joonas Korpisalo, which would bolster Vegas goalie depth in the post-season while acquiring Emil Bemstrom whose a skilled forward and ultimately benefit from Bruce Cassidy's offense.
However, on the Columbus Blue Jacket side is where I see this falling apart other than Daniil Mirromanov, this is a depth add which do nothing but continue the tank and only adds a meager 3rd round pick all the while.
If I were Jarmo Kekalainen, I would ultimately, make a hard-pass if Kelly McCrimmon offered me this one.
