Major Update for Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals
It was crushing news last week when Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin lost his father, Mikhail, at the age of 72.
Ovechkin to Return Tuesday
After spending time mourning with his family in Russia, he will reportedly be returning to Washington on Tuesday, and will rejoin the roster sometime this week.
The loss of a parent is like no other, and we are sure this will only give The Great 8 more drive to become the highest-scoring player in league history.
We wish the best to the Ovechkin family in this tough time.
