Alex Ovechkin has done something for the first time in his career and all of the signs are pointing to him being done sooner rather than later.

Ovechkin Held Shotless Two Times In A Row

For the first time in his NHL career, future Hall-of-Famer Alex Ovechkin has gone shotless in back-to-back games.

Ovechkin has played in 1350 career NHL games so for this to be coming now could be a bad omen for the future. Ovechkin is currently goalless on the season and only has one assist through three games.

A Hall-Of-Fame Career

Throughout his career, Ovechkin has established himself as the greatest goal scorer of all time scoring 822 total goals throughout his 1350 games and tacking on 664 assists to go with it for 1486 career points.

Any career with a point-per-game average over 1, especially in the modern era, is incredibly rare and is a sign of a player who will likely head to the Hall of Fame.

Ovechkin also has 9 Rocket Richard trophies to pair with his career and assuming there is not a turnaround in his production, it will likely stay like that.

Hopefully, Ovi is able to put the puck on net soon or else he could end his career just short of Gretzky for the number one goal scorer of all time.
