In the past couple of weeks Ryan Reaves has not been the main discussion when talking about NHL enforcers. Today he cemented himself as a top enforcer in the NHL with a brutal beatdown of an opponent.
With the Maple Leafs up 1-0 near the end of the first period Ryan Reaves decided to challenge Liam O'Brien to a fight. The pair dropped their gloves and punches began to fly. Reaves would take control of the fight early and never look back laying a beat down on O'Brien. After pummelling his opponent Reaves would go on to celebrate with a flex to the camera.
Reaves was brought in to be an enforcer who brings energy and momentum to the lineup. Tonight he lived up to that role as the Maple Leafs remain up 1-0 on the Coyotes heading into the second period.
