Sheldon Keefe Makes Major Announcement On John Klingberg

In an interview this morning, Sheldon Keefe gave an update on the status of John Klingberg's injury. He suffered an upper-body injury, and today was his first time on the ice since September 27th.

Keefe also reported that Klingberg is hopeful that he will be able to make his return for the final preseason game. Keefe notes that this is pretty soon, however, he is on track to be back for the start of the season.

Keefe says Klingberg is eager to get into a game on Saturday. Says they'll see but he should be on track for the start of the season.

Keefe says Klingberg felt good today and is hoping to play Saturday in the pre-season finale

That may be too fast, the coach says, but Leafs are optimistic he'll be ready for opening night against Montreal on Wednesday
