The Toronto Maple Leafs' rough injury luck has continued yet again tonight. Defenseman Mark Giordano has gotten hurt due to a terrifying hit he took.
Half way through the first period Maple Leafs defenseman Mark Giordano was attacking the net on an odd man rush. After getting the puck and attempting to score on a back door play Giordano fell and collided hard with the boards.
The terrifying collision left Giordano down on the ice clearly injured. Evenetually he would be helped off the ice by fellow defenseman Morgan Rielly as well as a trainer.
Giordano has not returned to the game at this point and likely will remain out for the rest of the game.
As more updates are given about his status and injury we will provide them to you.
