The worst may be confirmed for Gabriel Landeskog: Retiring tomorrow?
Since winning the Stanley Cup in 2022 with the Colorado Avalanche, Gabriel Landeskog has not gotten into any NHL action and now all signs point towards him retiring tomorrow morning.
Since being drafted 2nd overall by the Colorado Avalanche in 2011, Gabriel Landeskog has emerged as one of the Avalanche's best players year in and year out. However, since winning the Stanley Cup in 2022, he has been sidelined while recovering from surgery.
Today, it was announced that Landeskog will be holding a press conference tomorrow morning and fans are hoping it is not for what they think it is for.
#Avs GM Chris MacFarland and captain Gabriel Landeskog will meet with media at 9:30 AM tomorrow.
In the replies to the post, fans speculated that it could be for Landeskog's retirement.
At this point, nothing is confirmed for Landeskog but all signs point towards him announcing his retirement. If he does wind up retiring, he will be going out on top as his final NHL game was the game where he won the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche.
Regardless of tomorrow's press conference result, we wish Landeskog nothing but the best moving forward and hope he lives a happy and healthy life moving forward.
