A Former Teammate of Andrei Vasilevskiy Pointed Out His Weakness

Andrei Vasilevskiy is certainly the Montreal Canadiens' bête noire. The best goaltender on the planet has beaten the Red and White in the last 10 games against them, which is a huge record. If Carey Price got into the heads of the Leafs, the Jets and the Golden Knights, it's only logical to say that the Russian has done the same with the skaters of the Sainte-Flanelle. And when a goalie does it, it's a lot of work to get it out of his head...

Nevertheless, number 88, who is huge and intimidating in front of his cage, has a weakness, according to his former teammate, Louis Domingue. Here's what Domingue had to say about him during his appearance on the JiC show:

"We saw Carey Price get beat on the first goal by staying very low in his base position to find the puck when it was at the blue line. Vasilevskiy, on the other hand, is on his toes and looking up. That's why the puck beat him underneath him (on the Nick Suzuki goal). "

Antoine Roussel, during his regular segment on JiC, also spoke about Vasilevskiy, whom he once foiled three times in one game while playing for the Dallas Stars:

"They were little zingers, shots that he wasn't necessarily expecting and it worked. Kind of like the Suzuki goal yesterday. It was a throw he wasn't expecting. "

So, the Habs need to surprise him and take advantage of the fact that he's playing on his toes in order to foil him and shake him up mentally. Let's hope that these details have been noted by the Montreal Canadiens' coaches so that they can inform the players.
