The Florida Panthers and Calgary Flames made a major transaction on Friday night. With this trade, Florida received Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt, and a first-round pick in 2025 in exchange for Matthew Tkachuk and a 2025 fourth-round pick.
This transaction surprised many, not many people had anticipated this personnel move. Few but one, as a Florida Panthers fan on Twitter named Flying Fluffy predicted the deal almost perfectly, two days before it happened.
The only difference is the 4th round pick that goes to Florida and Cole Schwindt. Instead of the latter, the fan simply mentioned that a prospect from the organization could be added to Huberdeau, Weegar and the 1st round pick.
