The aftermath of Adam Johnson's tragic passing has shown a disgusting side of humanity, and one of Johnson's friends and teammates is calling it out.

Johnson's Teammate Calls Out Disgusting Comments Towards Petgrave

The accident that occurred to Adam Johnson has spawned disgusting and racist comments towards the other player involved in the accident, Matt Petgrave. Now, one of Johnson's teammates has taken to social media to defend Petgrave and describe what he saw at the ice level.

1/2 I need to address something about the accident. We wholeheartedly stand with Matt Petgrave. The hate that Matt is receiving is terrible and completely uncalled for. I was at ice level on the bench closest to the accident, I saw both players moving fast.

2/2 The unintentional clip of the Panther player's leg by the Sheffield player caused the somersault. It's clear to me his actions were unintentional and anyone suggesting otherwise is mistaken. Let's come together and not spread unwarranted hate to someone who needs are support

Michaud's message is one that unfortunately has to be said, hockey fans need to be coming together at this time, especially to someone like Petgrave who needs the support.

Michaud's Message Shows Enough is Enough

Michaud showed an incredible act of compassion and kindness by sharing this message, as he is surely grieving for his friend and teammate at this time. This should not go unnoticed.

Tremendous respect for Westin, who was Adam Johnson's teammate this year. Today has been a bizarre exercise in attacking someone in the absence of facts or context. For Westin to do this amid certain grief and shock is an act of grace and compassion that so many seem to lack.

Westin Michaud, player on the Nottingham Panthers, and teammate of Adam Johnson, who passed away after taking a skate to the throat from Matt Petgrave, has spoken out.

Michaud is calling for the hate towards Petgrave to stop, and says the entire play was a freak accident.

There you have it, the cowards watching a pixelated video and calling for the head of Petgrave should come to a full stop. Michaud saw the entire play unfold in front of his eyes.

Anyone who has questions about the incident should take someone who was at ice level, and a teammate of the victim, for his word. The racist and disgusting comments have no place in the game of hockey.
