Alex Ovechkin describes his Dream Line and it includes a surprising NHL Legend
Alexander Ovechkin is well on his way to becoming the greatest goal-scorer in NHL history.
While centerman Nicolas Backstrom was a huge factor in his success, in a hypothetical situation where Ovechkin was centred by rival future hall-of-famer Sidney Crosby, who knows how well their careers could have gone.
In an interview with TNT, Ovechkin commented on this hypothetical, and added his dream other linemate to complete this star-studded line.
While names like Patrick Kane would come to mind, Ovi's choice is quite surprising.
The Great 8 chose famed enforcer Donald Brashear as the perfect complement to a line with himself and Crosby.
Brashear played three seasons in Washington with Ovechkin, and clearly the effect he had hasn't been forgotten 14 years later.
Do you think he would be the best match?
