An Islanders first-round pick is placed on waivers

The New York Islanders have placed 24-year-old forward Kieffer Bellows, the team's first-round pick in 2016, on waivers.
In his first real NHL season last year, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Bellows had 19 points in 45 games.
