Avalanche Top Forward Undergoes Significant Surgery
Colorado captain Gabriel Landeskog will miss 12 weeks after undergoing knee surgery. The heart and soul of the outgoing cup-winning team, this loss will be imperative to Colorado's playoff hopes this season.
The central division looks stronger than it has in a long time, and with a loss as big as Landeskog's, nothing is truly a lock.
Nathan Mackinnon and Cale Makar will have to carry a heavier load while Landeskog is out, in hopes of another cup run.
