BREAKING: Future Hall Of Famer Retires
Former Toronto Maple Leaf and future NHL hall of famer Joe Thornton has just announced his retirement.
Thronton Retires
Joe Thornton has just announced his retirement from the NHL after 24 seasons.
Jumbo Joe Thornton officially announces his retirement like only he could, no shirt and all.
First ballot Hockey Hall of Famer to be sure.
What a career. And what a character !
Thornton played in over 1700 games with the Bruins, Sharks, Leafs, and Panthers. He won the Art Ross and Hart Trophy in 2006 as well after being traded from the Bruins to the Sharks.
Unfortunately, Thornton was never able to win the elusive Stanley Cup but was still one of the best players of his time. His number 19 will surely be retired by the San Jose Sharks.
We wish him the best in his post-playing career and his transition away from the ice.
