Some major news concerning Hockey Canada emerged earlier today.
Big Sponsor Drops Hockey Canada
After Hockey Canada's involvement in multiple controversies over the last few years, Nike has decided to cut ties with the Canadian federation.
The company also made the following announcement:
"We will continue to supply on-ice products to Hockey Canada athletes as part of our partnership with the International Ice Hockey Federation, but our individual partnership with the federation has come to an end."
This is a huge loss for Hockey Canada, but Nike's decision is understandable.
