According to the Toronto Sun, Mitch Marner of the Toronto Maple Leafs was the victim of an armed carjacking.
It happened at the Cineplex Theatre on Queensway Avenue," a police source reportedly confirmed.
Three men armed with guns and a knife reportedly carjacked his black Range Rover.
"The suspects approached wearing masks, and said they wanted to leave with the vehicle. Marner reportedly replied "Go ahead and take it" to his attackers.
The suspects did not seem to know that the owner of the car was Marner," the source said. They were only interested in the Range Rover, and in all likelihood in selling it out of the country."
Ouch, bad week for Marner
