Greg Wyshynski of ESPN about the situation of Russian NHL player:
''I know a lot of Russians who want world peace. Nobody enjoys conflict. Russians are currently being discriminated against. Their lives are in danger.»
"My clients aren't as nervous," Milstein told ESPN. "But when they are on the road and alone with their wife and newborn child, there are big concerns."
Wayne Gretzky said on TNT Sunday that Russia should not be allowed to play in the rescheduled World Junior Championships in Edmonton in August due to a COVID-19 epidemic. Milstein asks the CHL to reconsider the next draft: they are kids, victims. He represents 15 Russian-born players in the 2022 NHL draft class, including many first-round picks.
No national team here. You are discriminating against 16 and 17-year-olds. That you're rejecting chance.»
«In North America, we take pride in having the best league and players. But now you're excluding them because they're Russian. This week, German Nazis are seen more warmly than Russians.»
