Gerard Gallant is headed back behind an NHL bench. According to Larry Brooks of the New York Post, Gallant has an agreement in place to become the new head coach of the New York Rangers.
Gallant most recently coached the Vegas Golden Knights, but was fired during the 2019-20 season after the team faltered a bit. Peter DeBoer was hired as his replacement.
