David Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins is known for being a fun-loving guy who doesn't take himself too seriously when he's off the ice. However, Sunday night, Pastrnak shared some very serious and tragic news on his Instagram account.
"Viggo Rohl Pastrnak, June 17th 2021 - June 23rd 2021," wrote Pastrnak. "We have an Angel watching over us and we call him SON. You will be loved FOREVER."
"Please respect our privacy as we are going through these heartbreaking times."
Pastrnak did not give a reason for the death of his six-day-old son. Pastrnak and his girlfriend Rebecca Rohlsson announced they were expecting a baby back in January of 2021. Viggo was their first-born child. Our thoughts are certainly with the Pastrnak family at what is undoubtedly an extremely tough time for them.
