Nick Suzuki of the Montreal Canadiens is developing into one of the league's top young centres, and he's on a mission to prove that his general manager, Marc Bergevin, made the right decision in acquiring him from the Vegas Golden Knights.
Suzuki was traded to the Canadiens in exchange for Max Pacioretty, whom he will face in the Canadiens' upcoming matchup with the Vegas Golden Knights. Suzuki spoke to the media on Friday and said the following:
« I think it worked out for both teams obviously. When Marc called me and said I was a big piece that they wanted I just wanted to show that Montreal made the right decision in bringing me over and I want to do everything I can for this franchise. It was more about proving Marc right to want me in the deal.»
Both players are vital to their respective clubs, and it will be intriguing to watch who emerges victorious. Tomas Tatar, who has been a rock in Montreal since day one, was also included in the deal.
While it's difficult to determine who wins a trade immediately immediately, this is the ideal time to do it. The deal will be completed if the Habs win the series. The Golden Knights, led by Max Pacioretty, will have other ideas.
