In early June, the Minnesota Wild waived the rights to their former 2018 first round pick, Filip Johansson. As a result, they received a second round pick in the upcoming draft as compensation.
The 22-year-old defenseman played the past year with HC Frolunda in the Swedish Elite League.
In 47 games, he collected 11 points.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has agreed to terms on a two-year, entry level contract with defenseman Filip Johansson.
