Montreal Canadiens young forward Cole Caufield appeared on Chris Nilan and NHL alumnus Tim Stapleton's "The Raw Knuckles Podcast".
Caufield, who sat down with Juraj Slafkovsky, went into a big statement about the Slovak.
Here is a summary:
The former pugilist called the 18 year old Slovakian a beast from the start, "He's a beast", and then Caufield went on to say that he was very impressed with the organization's new acquisition and that he was looking forward to playing with him for the next few seasons. "He's a big guy, I can't wait for him to be with us".
The dynamic forward also mentioned that he was impressed with Slafkovsk's play at the last World Championship, where the 6-foot-4 winger was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
Caufield also revisited the stationary bike episode, where Slafkovsk looked like a real machine that would break the physical training machine.
Cole said he didn't look like that when he was doing the exercise, adding that Slaf didn't even seem to be out of breath and was all smiles after the test.
Let's just say it's encouraging!
