Here's what Cherry had to say about the Canadiens skipping on Shane Wright:
"I watched the draft and I'm absolutely in shock," began Cherry. "Shane Wright goes 4th, I mean that is unbelievable to me. I hope this Kent Hughes knows what he's doing cause he's going to get all the blame."
Don Cherry believes Shane Wright will become the best NHL player in this draft class.
"I was absolutely shocked, shocked is the word, that they didn't pick Shane Wright," said Cherry on his podcast. "I still think he's the number one."
"I'll tell you one thing, Kent Hughes better be right on this [Slafkovsky] guy," added Cherry. "He better be right on him because they will be waiting for him, those fans are tough down there."
Wow, Cherry is really confident Shane Wright is the best player in this draft! What do you think?
