Nick Foligno put another nail in his coffin, confirming his leave from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday. It was confirmed that the veteran forward removed his Leafs related profile picture as well as his cover photo from his Twitter account.
I regret to inform you all that Nick Foligno just removed both his Leafs related profile and cover photo from his Twitter account. #32 Dudgee #LetsGoBlueJays 🧡 (@Dudgee) July 19, 2021
It seems all but certain that Foligno will have a new home come next season. He has been connected to a few teams including his former team, the Columbus Blue Jackets and his brother Marcus' team, the Minnesota Wild.
Foligno was somewhat underwhelming with the Leafs as he did not tally a goal in the 11 games (4 postseason games) he played with the team. He did put up 5 assists, but it was not enough to get Toronto out of the first round.
