The Memorial Cup tournament allows us to see the good and the bad sides of each player on the ice. For some, the pressure makes them not perform up to expectations.
For William Dufour, it's the opposite.
A fifth round pick of the New York Islanders in 2022, Dufour finished just behind Joshua Roy in points this season with 116 in 66 games with the Saint John Sea Dogs.
Yesterday, he proved once again that he is THE steal of the 2020 NHL Draft. He scored four goals to give his team the win over the Shawinigan Cataractes.
The win sends the host team straight to the Memorial Cup Final.
Dufour signed his first professional contract with the New York Islanders on April 21. It is a three season agreement.
Congratulations William!
