Yesterday, it was learned that Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kristopher Letang had a second stroke on Monday.
Today, Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan said Letang had a lap around the rink. He has not been cleared to play hockey, however, though the player is eager to get back to it.
So [Letang] is active. He's still getting tested and he's being closely monitored by our team of doctors who are advising him every day, and advising us every day. Obviously, we're going to err on the side of caution in this case." Mike Sullivan
Letang has 12 points, including a goal so far this season.
